The Story
Formula One is built around an irony I couldn’t resist: one of the ocean’s most unhurried creatures carrying the name of one of the fastest sports on earth.
The turtle moves through the piece completely unconcerned with speed, pressure, or anyone else’s timeline. That contrast became the personality of it.
There’s plenty of motion in the surface, but he never looks rushed by any of it. He just keeps his own pace and somehow ends up owning the whole composition.
That’s what I like about this one. We’re conditioned to treat faster as better, louder as stronger, urgency as importance. Formula One quietly disagrees.
Speed gets attention. Steady gets somewhere.
“The irony made me laugh. Formula One had absolutely nowhere urgent to be.” ~Kristy
