Kristy had the rare privilege of freediving alongside this young explorer, watching as it splashed and spun with the uninhibited joy of discovery. There was something untamed about this little wanderer—a maverick in its own right—unconcerned with the expectations of the deep, moving purely on instinct and wonder. This encounter inspired a dynamic mixed-media painting, infused with layers of texture, movement, and depth, finished with rich oil details that capture the spirit of the ocean’s free-spirited child.
